Pain that originates from outside the ear is called otalgia. There are two types – primary and secondary. It is common children, with children below 5 years at a risk if they are also suffering from respiratory problems.
Causes: Ear infections – outer, inner and middle, airplane pressure, a perforated eardrum, excess earwax and dental problems
Symptoms: Ear pain, impaired hearing, fluid drainage, sense of fullness in the ear
