It is the pain felt from the lower back to behind the thigh and radiating down below the knee. In some cases, the pain might spread to the back, outside or front of the leg. Though sciatica pain can be severe, in most cases it can be managed with non-operative treatment in a few weeks.
Causes: Irritation of the root of the lower lumbar and lumbosacral spine and leg pain with tingling numbness, weakness
Symptoms: Leg pain with tingling numbness, weakness, lower backache, hip pain and pain in the leg when sitting
