Philippines declares national epidemic over dengue, which has killed over 600 this year

The Philippines Department of Health on Tuesday declared the country's outbreak of dengue to be a national epidemic. It said the Philippines has recorded 98 per cent more cases than in the same period in 2018, resulting in 622 deaths.
