Patra Ni Macchi (Fish wrapped in Banana Leaf)
Patra Ni Macchi is a Parsi-style steamed fish preparation, smeared in coriander chutney and wrapped in banana leaf. It is usually served at weddings, but you can always treat your guests at home. PS: If you like the taste of coconut, you can use it instead of coriander!

    Ingredients
    Instructions
    1. Clean and gut the fish, give 2 deep incisions on its belly
    2. Rub salt, turmeric and red chilli powder. Smear it well. Keep the fish aside
    3. Grind green chillies, ginger, garlic and coriander into smooth paste (chutney), add lime juice. Mix thoroughly.
    4. Marinate with fish with the green chutney for 30 mins
    5. Carefully wrap the fish in a banana leaf smeared with oil. Cover fully. You can use aluminium foil also
    6. Boil enough water in a deep vessel or idli maker. Place the fish on a sieve and over boiling water. Make sure that the water should be boiling.
    7. Cover it and steam it for 4-5 minutes or till cooked.
    8. Take the fish out. Place it on the plate and gently uncover it.
