Hunger pangs

You know you have hunger pangs when your stomach starts growling and gurgling. This is nothing but an indication that it’s time to eat. If you don’t eat for long hours, your energy levels drop, and the stomach demands for food. A hormone called ghrelin is released in the stomach that triggers hunger pangs.

Causes: Hormones, environmental factors, stress, lack of sleep, quantity of food

Symptoms: Fever, diarrhoea, nausea, dizziness, headache, vomiting, abdominal pain, irritability and craving for specific food
