Ontario has lowered its colorectal cancer screening age to 45. But should it be lower?

Kate Walker says her symptoms were dismissed due to her age before she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She believes the screening age should be even lower than what the province recently changed it to.

Ontario has lowered the screening age for colon cancer to 45 years old from 50. But patients and advocates say with the rising number of cases in young people, the age should be even lower.
