Sweden has figured out how to keep food free of salmonella. Why can't Canada? March 31, 2019 Sweden has strict regulations to keep chickens and other animals salmonella-free. As a result, few people in that country get sick from the bacteria, while outbreaks caused by contaminated food continue to happen in Canada.
