Q: When did your journey start?

Let’s see; I believe I saw a Facebook advertisement for IdealShape and just decided to give it a try. I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life and honestly, in a million years, I never thought I’d lose 50 lbs!

I first started just drinking the IdealShakes twice a day and eating smarter snacks. I also just got off my butt (I still struggle with that).

Q: What made you want to make a change?

I was so sick and tired of having to buy XXL clothes and not being able to wear anything cute; I just hated the way I looked, I seriously looked about 8 months pregnant.

Q: What tips do you have for others starting out?

I would tell anyone just starting on weight loss to just move. Just walk a little every day and keep track of what goes in your mouth, either a journal or MyFitnessPal app. Get comfortable with being hungry at first, but know that goes away.

Q: What have been some of the biggest obstacles you’ve had to overcome?

I tore my meniscus on the treadmill and had surgery, so no more running for me, which I was actually starting to like. Now, I play around with lifting weights but I’d really like to learn how to lift.

Q: What are some of your go-to, favorite meals?

I didn’t really follow a meal plan, just the IdealShakes, and smart snacks during the day. For dinner, I just stayed within my calories. I used MyFitnessPal to log everything and I still TRY to do that, I’m just not as religious about it. I now understand that it’s all about nutrition.

You can’t control how much you burn at the gym, but you can control the calories that go in.

Q: What are some go-to supplements that have helped?

I still use the IdealShakes once in a while, but my favorite IdealShape product is IdealBoost!! I love the Black Cherry!!

Q: What are some of your biggest victories?

I tried to walk every day, and then when I hit about 20 lbs gone, I joined a gym. My friend is a runner but I walked the treadmill while she ran, and I eventually did a 5k (42.60 was my time).

My pie in the sky dream would be to Compete, but I’m mentally not there yet.

Q: How has this affected your life?

The way my whole self changed…it’s amazing!! I have more willpower, and I actually WANT healthy foods. I don’t drink near as much because I don’t want to waste those calories!!
