Magnesium is a crucial nutrient for health, participating in such things as blood pressure and blood sugar regulation, heart rhythms, and bone health. Virtually all modern people begin with magnesium deficiency, often profound, that shows as erratic blood sugars and blood pressures, heart rhythm abnormalities, bone thinning (osteoporosis, osteopenia), even sudden cardiac death.
